If there’s one thing that I hate doing, it’s mopping the floors, which explains why it never seems to get done around the house. And since most of us hate this job, the iRobot Braava Jet 240 Superior Robot Mop aims to make this chore as easy as possible thanks to a jet spray vibrating cleaning head. By letting a robot do it. Like me, you need the best robot vacuum and mop in your life.
The iRobot Braava Jet 240 doesn’t just go over an area once, but 3 times to make sure that it is clean. This little guy can even get into small spaces, like around toilets and other tight areas. It has a lot of decent features. I recently spent several weeks with it cleaning the floors. My impressions are below.
Does The iRobot Braava Jet 240 Clean Up Floors Or Just Your Wallet?
This Braava jet robot mop does a little bit of everything, despite having no dustbin, charging station or scheduling features. Aside from a wet mop it can also “dry sweep”. In fact, it will handle all hard floors. This iRobot is a hard worker that’s for sure.
- Cleans an area 3 times

iRobot Braava Jet 240 Build Quality And Design
This wet mop damp sweep robot mop has a good build quality on par with some of the best robotic vacuums and mops. Unless you thoroughly abuse it, it should last a long time. It has an interesting square design with rounded edges, which helps it get into some tight spaces for extra cleaning. It also uses vibrating cleaning techniques. Just press the clean button and it runs. This one comes with the battery charger, but has no charging station. It is similar to the Deebot M80 Pro.
The iRobot Braava Jet 240 is not about power. Instead, it cleans an area several times with precision jet spray to ensure that it is as clean as possible. The water tank holds about 150mL of water which it uses to spray water, and it is smart enough that it automatically selects the type of cleaning method based on the cleaning pad type you use. I like damp sweeping pads for sweep mode. With the easy Pad Eject button, you’ll never have to touch grime or dirt on the cleaning pad. It is easy to fill the tank too. The disposal pads are easy to find and affordable as are washable pads. It uses spray and vibrating cleaning to get stains up.
This robot vacuum and mop combo does a decent job. Even though it lacks a brush for deeper cleaning of carpets, it both mops and sweeps. I tested this mopping robot on my house and also tested it in a friends house who has super dirty hardwood floors that have never been cleaned. This compact robot made those floors shine. I was very happy with the results. Mop mode is just awesome, wet mopping damp and not making the floor too wet.
And it does an excellent job of getting into tight spaces, which most cleaning robots fail at. It has a two hour runtime thanks to the lithium ion batteries and it charges in about 90 minutes to 2 hours. The mop cleans several floor types, like hardwood tile and stone. Whether you like damp sweep, damp mop, or a wet mop pad, this baby just works. On hardwood floors with pet hair too.
This is a top-rated iRobot Braava jet robot mop with great cleaning performance. No question about it. You are going to love how well it cleans and that it gets in those hard to reach areas thanks to the navigation system, which makes it great in kitchens and bathrooms. Just press clean and it figures out the proper cleaning mode. It will start and stop on its own or you can control it. Braava jet cleaning is the way to go for floor cleaning. The jet spray and vibrating head do an awesome job. I can see why Braava jet mops are such a popular cleaning solution. In my opinion, this robot vacuum and mop combos just beat upright vacuums.
The cleaning patterns really make a difference here. By going over an area a few times, dirt comes right up. This robotic vacuum and mop is a great buy. It is a dirt and stain fighter. I would actually like to see this pro robot vacuum vs Dyson.
